Shoes, and more shoes

My daughter Alex has a shoe fetish, every time she goes into the store she has to look at the shoes. Even know she has over 50 pair a shoes and she is only 20 yrs old, shoes are what she feels she has to have. Ever sense she was a little girl she has always loved putting on everyones shoes and loved it when I bought her a pair of shoes.

So I asked her why so many shoes? and she told that it was because she need a pair to match all her outfits for her job. The shoes have to at least match on of the items she is wearing. If she was wear a blue blouse, she would need blue shoes, but if she didn't have blue shoes, she needed to change the blouse or buy a pair of blue shoes.

she has to wear sweater that has has to either be black or white and she has have a purse to match her shoes, or would it be easier for her to match her shoes to a purse, sense she only has two sweaters, but life can become quite complicated because how many pair of shoes will actually match all of her clothing.

so...pick a shoe any shoe...

Bugling Disks (My Condition)

On January 1, 2005 I was working with a Nursing registry and placed in a small hospital outside of the area that I lived, only 45 minutes away. It was New Years Day and they were working short staffed, and had called me in. With me included they were still short staffed, and I mean short staffed by meaning only me, an RN, LVN and a doctor.

meanwhile I was checking on my patients and realized that one of my patients were to low in the bed and sense she was dying of COPD (Cardiac Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) she wasn't able to breathe right in that position and she needed to be pulled up in the bed. I wasn't able to find anyone available to help me pull her up so I attempted to pull her up by myself. She was sweating quite a bit and she stuck to the mattress while she slipped from my hands, and thats when my disks pulled out of place. It wasn't until the next day that I felt the pain and I even continued to work for a whole year in that condition, until I wasn't able to take the pain towards the end of my shift. Bulging disks can be very painful and mine are located in my neck on the base just next to my head.

A bulging disk is a condition related to the spine, usually the lumbar, or lower back, that occurs when a disk bulges through a crevice in the spine. Disks are the soft, gelatinous material that cushions the vertebrae of the spine. A bulging disk occurs when the disk shifts out of its normal radius and most often occurs simply as a result of age.

A bulging disk is different from a herniated disk in that a bulging disk typically occurs gradually over time rather than suddenly. A herniated disk is often the result of an injury or trauma to the spine. In the majority of patients who experience a bulging disk, there is no pain unless the disk becomes herniated or protrudes into a nerve.

In many cases, a bulging disk may be diagnosed as a condition secondary to another problem. Because a bulging disk does not always cause pain, it may only be found during a routine or diagnostic imaging test such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Typically, a bulging disk is not a problem unless it begins to cause pain, becomes herniated or ruptures.

Treatment for a bulging disk or even a herniated disk is relatively conservative in most cases. Rest and lifting restrictions are common, and a doctor may recommend a combination of heat and ice therapy and anti-inflammatory medications or cortisone injections. Medication may be prescribed to deal with any associated pain.

Though usually a condition affecting the lower back, occasionally, a bulging disk may occur in the neck area. Usually, pain that radiates to the shoulders and arms indicates that a nerve in the neck may be pinched or pushed upon. In the lower back, pain may sometimes radiate to the legs.

A physical examination by your doctor will help determine where your discomfort may be coming from and whether the problem arose gradually or suddenly. In most cases, conservative treatment relieves the problem. Back surgery, though not as common, can relieve severe pain caused by compression on the nerves from a bulging disk that becomes herniated.
